I am due with number 2 in 10wks time. I am hoping to bf this baby for as long as my thyroid condition lets me. ( i may need to go onto a strong med which means no BF ) BF with ds was a disaster. I ended up FF from 13wks due to the damage that had been done to my nipples. I tried doing all the right things. seeing a bf consultant etc etc but no one would listen to me. Every person i contactedand saw said ds was latching on fine let him feed as long as he wants. So this time i need advice from mummies. How long should i let my new born feed for? How often should a nb be feeding? Do i offer both boobs at each feed? thanks for all and any advice you can give me. Renee.
